The goals of the Goose Creek Elementary Media Center are:

    To encourage and promote reading
    To support the curriculum
    To provide technology support

The staff of Goose Creek Elementary School Media Center invite you to visit the school library. We offer thousands of books for your reading pleasure. Our library offers an online card catalog as well as an online research database to aid in research. Students can access the online card catalog through Class Link.  Click on the Follett icon to get there.  Please see the Media Specialist for the user name and password for the DISCUS site.

Our collection contains age appropriate non-fiction and fiction titles, including picture books, beginning chapter books and more difficult chapter books for advanced readers. We also have a great selection of biographies.

The library hours are as follows:
    Monday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
    Tuesday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
    Wednesday 7:30 am - 2:30pm
    Thursday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
    Friday 7:30 am- 3:00 pm

We offer an open check out schedule anytime the library is open. Parents are allowed to check out 5 books. Students in Child Development, Kindergarten and First Grade are allowed to check out one book. Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students are allowed to check out 2 books. We encourage students and parents to use these facilities and READ, READ, READ!

The Goose Creek Elementary Media Center is a combination fixed and open-access program. Kindergarten through 5th grade students are scheduled in the media center on a biweekly basis. Child Development students receive a bi-weekly story time visit.
