• Morning Arrival Procedures for All Students

At 7:00 a.m. staff will be out to open car doors and greet students! Children are to go directly to the cafeteria if they are eating breakfast, or to their classrooms.

Students arriving by bus will enter the school through the doors by the bus loop into the cafeteria.

Students are expected to be settled into the classroom and ready to learn by 7:30 a.m. CPE administration expects all teachers to be supervising and beginning instruction promptly at 7:35 a.m.

Do not drop off your child at school before 7:00 a.m. or let them out of your car. The school cannot be responsible for the supervision of your child before 7:00 a.m.
Do not drop off students in the parking lot at any time. You must stay in the car lines and drop off at designated area.

    Drop-Off and Pick-Up Area:
The drop-off and pick-up for all students at College Park Elementary is at the front of the school or the side loop. Students are not to be dropped off or picked up from the bus loop, the middle school back parking lot, on the street, or the parking lot of the Family Literacy Center building. Students may be dropped off between 7:00-7:30 a.m. For the safety of all children, please maintain no more than a 10 mile per hour speed limit in the pick-up loop when entering and exiting. Car rider pick-ups in the afternoon will be allowed using CPE car tag numbers. Please be sure these tags are visible as you enter the campus. You will be given one tag. Parents are not allowed to walk up to any car line and pick up their child at any time. Please remain in your car and in the line for an orderly and safe dismissal.

 Do not park in the drop-off/pick-up lanes at any time. Please park in a parking space.
 CPE is a smoke-free campus. This includes not smoking in cars while in the drop-off/pick-up lanes.
 It is helpful if students required to be in car seats can buckle themselves in. Please work with your child on learning their car number and buckling their car seat independently.

After 7:30 parents must come in the office to sign the student in.

Excessive tardiness is not acceptable. Your child will be missing valuable instructional time. Students must attend school for three and one-half (3.5) hours in a school day to be considered present for that day. Students are not to leave school grounds once they have arrived at school.

Tardies will count against a Perfect Attendance Award for students.
