Mr. Tim McDowell
Tim McDowell is the principal of Cane Bay High School. He began his educational career in 1990 as an 8th grade teacher and later moved on to Goose Creek High School where he taught US history, as well as coached wrestling and football. In 2006 Mr. McDowell was selected to be an assistant principal at Timberland high school. Mr. McDowell has worked at Cane Bay since its opening in 2008. He had been an assistant principal and athletic director at Cane Bay prior to being named principal in 2017. He has a wife and two adult daughters as well as a golden lab, Bailey.
Mr. McDowell holds a bachelor of arts in education from West Liberty State College in West Virginia. He is also a Citadel graduate, with a Master of Education in school administration. Mr. McDowell is a member of the South Carolina Association of Administrations, the South Carolina Athletic Administrators Association and The National Association of Secondary School Principals. He serves as a voting member on the Berkeley County E-Learning task force. He contributes to the community through his membership on the Eagle Harbor Boys Home board, as well as the Cane Bay Exchange Club.
Mr. McDowell is a two-time teacher of the year recipient, receiving the distinction at both Westview Middle School and Goose Creek High School. He was recognized three times as athletic director of the year and was BCSD secondary assistant principal of the year for the 2017-2018 school year.

Mr. Brian Swiney
Brian Swiney joins the Cane Bay High community for the 2020-2021 school year as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. This is his 28th year, all with the Berkeley County School District. He has 27 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He is a 1993 graduate of the Citadel and received his Master’s Degree in Secondary Administration from the Citadel in 2008. His wife, Lisa, is a teacher with the Berkeley County School District. Brian and Lisa have 2 children, Jordan and Kailey Swiney. Mr. Swiney is an avid outdoorsman and is a member of Pinopolis United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Cynthia McBride
Cynthia McBride has been an assistant principal at Cane Bay High School since 2015. Prior to that, she taught Math and was an assistant principal at Goose Creek High School. She is a graduate of the Berkeley County school system, College of Charleston, The Citadel and Charleston Southern University.

Dr. Taylor Bradley
Dr. Bradley joined the CBH administrative team at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. For the previous 7 years he taught Law Education, English, and Social Studies at Berkeley Middle School before moving to Cane Bay Middle where he taught 7th Grade Social Studies. He received a Bachelors Degree from the College of Charleston in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in English/Language Arts and Social Studies, his Master’s in Educational Administration from Charleston Southern University, and his Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Educational Technology from the University of South Carolina. In his spare time, Dr. Bradley can be found reading, taking photos at CBH sporting events and spending time with his family.

Mr. Nick Snyder
Nicholas Snyder has been an assistant principal at Cane Bay High School since the 2019-2020 school year. Prior to that, he taught English for 12 years. In 2017, he was named the Berkeley County District Teacher of the Year. The year after that he was recognized as a Top 5 Finalist for the SC State Teacher of the Year.
