    Monday 4/22/19: 

    Standard 7-6.6 Summarize the dangers to the natural environment that are posed by population growth, urbanization, and industrialization, including global influences on the environment and the efforts by citizens and governments to protect the natural environment.

     

    Objective: I can summarize the dangers of human life and industrialism on the environment and how governments and people are trying to help.

    Procedures/Instructional Strategies:

     

    1. TSW answer the question of the day. TTW go over the question of the day with the students.
    2. TTW go over Unit 8 Section 5 with students. TSW fill in the blanks and highlight the key information in their notes.
    3. TSW play review game.



    Guided Practice:

     

    Unit Notes- Students will listen and participate while the teacher is instructing in depth about the content. They will also fill in blanks and highlight essential information from their notes.

     

    Review Game- Based on the amount of time at the end of class (closure activity), TTW lead students in a review game. These games include but are not limited to: Heads Up Review (students sit in front of Smart Board with clue behind them, classmates give hints to help them guess the answer); Around the World (students go head to head to answer questions as quickly as possible, student that wins most matches wins); Challenge Review Game (students call on one another to come to the front of the room, students earn a ticket for each student they defeat by answering questions correctly); and Quizlet Live/ Kahoot Review Games (Chromebook based review games in which students compete in teams or individually to answer review questions correctly as quickly as possible).

     

    Independent Practice:

    Question of the Day-  This is a daily multiple-choice review question that is posted on Google Classroom. Students will answer the question of the day by selecting the choice they think is correct, and then the teacher will go over the correct answer.

     

    Tuesday 4/23/19:

    government and unlimited government as they functioned in Europe in the seventeenth and

    eighteenth centuries.

    PASS Olympics- In these set of games, TSW compete in a variety of team races. Students will choose teams and each will select a different country we learned about this year in history. These races include but are not limited to: field day races (sack races, etc.), scavenger hunts, and digital breakouts. Overall winners in each class will compete in a final competition for prizes!
