Welcome to Dr. Godfrey's Web Page!
Welcome! Hopefully you had some fun, relaxation, and are recooperated for another semester. I know that we will have a great semester together. I look forward to working with each of you. We will be working hard to understand many science concepts and skills that you will be able to use in your many endeavors after leaving high school. Biology and Forensic Science are around you everyday! Everyone needs to have a good understanding of how life works so that when decisions need to be made, they will be informed decisions.
A little info about myself. I am married with two daughters and three stepsons. I am a former Goose Creek High graduate. I graduated with a Biology degree and an Education minor from the College of Charleston. I then earned my masters in Math and Science for Educators through the College of Charleston. I recieved my Doctorate in K-12 Science Education from Capella University in January 2012. I am a National Board Certified teacher in science. This is my 23rd year of teaching with 21 of those here at Goose Creek High! GO GATORS!! My dad's family is from Alabama, so I am a BIG Crimson Tide FAN!! :-) Roll Tide! I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy camping, reading, and traveling. I LOVE SCIENCE!!! I hope that I can share my enthusiasm for science, learning, and life with each of you. One of my favorite creatures is the Horseshoe Crab which has blue blood because instead of iron it uses copper!! Cool Stuff!!!

You may also use the Parent Portal website: https://pschool.bcsdschools.net/public. It allows you to keep up with your student's attendance and grades. It is a great way to keep the lines of communication up between parents and their children. If everyone keeps on top of how the student is doing, then it will be easier to help the student be successful! If you need a password, contact the school and they will let you know how to get one.
