Cane Bay High Media Specialist

I graduated from Stratford high school in 1998 and returned to teach in BCSD in 2008 where I spent 10 years teaching Social studies at Cane Bay High School. The next part of my education journey led me to receive a Master’s degree in Education in Library Science from the University of West Alabama. In 2019 I was honored to be asked back to Cane Bay as a Librarian. I love working in the Cane Bay media center where I can help students find books they love and become critical consumers of media. Another part of my job I love is assisting teachers day to day. When I am not at work I enjoy going on history tours with my son, playing with our cat and dog, working on embroidery, reading psych thrillers and watching classic television shows like Perry Mason. Also, I am very passionate about community service and teacher advocacy. Stop by the library and say “Hi!”
