    • When students return, teachers will need to assess students to see where the areas of strengths and weaknesses are regarding essential standards for a particular grade level. This will be done using a variety of appropriate and available diagnostic assessments and screeners. Additionally, teacher feedback and recommendations as well as existing documentation indicating lack of student engagement during the spring school closure should be used to diagnose student needs.
    • School year instruction will follow the instructional timeline as outlined by the Office of Academics and Innovation. For early learning students such as Head Start and CERDEP, teachers will utilize learning progressions using Early Learning Standards and essential readiness documents.
    • PLCs will meet weekly for instructional planning, data analysis, and discuss student progress. First and Second grades will continue to be a part of the Competency Based Report Card Pilot and work collaboratively with WVE and CPE.
