• NOTE: These plans are subject to change. Any updates will be marked and dated.

    Bus Arrival

    • Student temperatures will be screened by a staff member when exiting the bus.
    • Students without a temperature will be directed to class or the breakfast kiosk located in the foyer outside of the Library
    • Directional floor markings will be available to aid students in social distancing.
    • Appointed staff members will be in the hallway to assist in student transitions.
    • Students with a temperature of 99.0 degrees or higher will receive assistance from the nurse.
    • The nurse will come to the bus area and check the student’s temperature with an alternate thermometer.
      • If the student’s temperature is confirmed. The nurse will issue him/her a mask and escort them to the designated holding area.
      • The nurse will contact the student’s parent/guardian for pickup.
      • Students must be picked up within one hour of notification. Parents must have a backup person in the event they are unable to pick up their child.   
    • Students will sanitize hands upon entering the school.

    Bus Expectations

    • The first two passenger seats directly behind the driver will remain vacant at all times.
    • All school bus riders will wear face masks or face coverings that completely cover the nose and mouth while on the bus. Face masks/coverings must be worn for the entire trip either to or from school.
    • No more than 2 students will be assigned to each seat.
    • Students will adhere to assigned seating
    • Students and drivers will wash and sanitize hands thoroughly before and after riding the bus.

    Car Rider Arrival

    • Student temperatures will be screened prior to exiting the car.
    • Students without a fever will be allowed to exit the car.
    • Students with a temperature of 99.0 degrees or higher will remain in the vehicle. The parent will be instructed to park in a reserved parking spot so the child may receive a second temperature screening by the school nurse. If the second reading is below 99.0 degrees, the child will be allowed to stay at school. If the second reading is 99.0 degrees or above, the child will not be permitted to stay at school.
    • Students will sanitize hands upon entering the school.
    • Students who would like breakfast will pick up a grab-and-go meal from the kiosk located in the Main Foyer outside of the Art Room.

    Morning Care Arrival

    • The Morning Care Room will be located in Room 215.
    • Morning care staff will meet parents at the side entrance.
    • Student temperatures will be screened prior to allowing him/her to enter the building.
    • Students with a temperature below 99.0 degrees will be allowed in the building.
    • If a student has a temperature reading of 99.0 degrees or higher, the Director will administer a second temperature check.
      • If the second reading is below 99.0 degrees, the child will be allowed to stay at school.
      • If the second reading is 99.0 degrees or above, the child will not be permitted to stay at school.

    Dismissal - Exit to buses/car

    • Student groups will be called to dismiss at designated times.
    • Dismissal schedule is designed to minimize the number of students transitioning in the hallways at one time and to provide a one way flow of traffic.
    • Bus riders will report to the hallway outside of the Third Grade classrooms.
    • While waiting to board school busses, students will sit in the hallway utilizing installed markers to social distance.
    • Gatekeeper students will report to the Multi-purpose Room.
    • Car riders will report to their designated dismissal location.
      • First and Second Grade students will report to the First Grade Hallway.
      • Kindergarten and CERDEP will report to the Main Foyer.
      • Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and XCAT will report to the Media Center Foyer.
    • While waiting for their car number to be called, students will sit in the hallway utilizing installed markers to social distance.
