Summer Opportunities

  • As we near the end of school, plan your summer to include activities that will help you prepare for the next school year jor use the time to explore a career or a college! Many opportunities exist that may be for you! Please note that information about these programs is sent to Stratford High School to advertise. Stratford High School does not endorse any one program.

  • Current juniors: The School Counseling Department is now accepting nominations for all rising seniors for the Discover Swarthmore Fly-In Program, hosted by Swarthmore College. Discover Swarthmore is an all-expenses-paid visit to one of the best liberal arts and engineering colleges in the country! Prospective students get a taste of the college experience. Students must submit a Discover Swarthmore application by July 8, 2019 to be considered. For more information, please stop by the counseling department for a program flyer!

    Clemson University is hosting several summer reading programs for students in grades K-12. If you’re interested, please come to the school counseling department for a flyer!

    Charleston Southern University is hosting a Criminal Justice Summer Camp for students ages 14-18 during the week of June 17th-21st. Students can experience activities with crime scene investigation, drones, K-9 units, and other simulated activities. interested students can come to the counseling dept. and pick up a flyer.

    Grades 6-12: Trident Technical College is hosting a Student-Athlete Training Camp from July 15-19 from $8:30 AM-12:00 PM each day. The cost of the camp is $199. Athletes will train in the weight room, cardio deck and gym, improving on technique, strength, and quickness. This experience will strengthen students' teamwork and leadership skills.
