Creative Writing is a club for students of all grade levels and writing abilities. Students will put pen to paper to explore and share their inner voice. Students will collaborate, revise, edit, and publish their work. Club members will explore various modes of writing and may enter writing contests. For more information, contact club sponsor Mrs. Eiseman at firstname.lastname@example.org.Junior Librarians is a club for students who enjoy reading and are interested in learning library organization skills as well as participating in a variety of activities such as shelving books and other materials, preparing materials for circulation, providing messenger services, designing and preparing bulletin boards and displays, and assisting with book fairs. Interested students must complete an application and be accepted as a member of the Junior Librarian Club. Incoming students feel welcomed, comfortable, included, and accepted into their new school community. For exiting students, the team helps prepare them for their transition to another school. The Middle School Mock Trial Program is a hands-on exercise in learning about due process. It is a team activity program that is most often conducted as an extracurricular activity, but it can also incorporated into law, forensics, or public speaking classes. Students representing attorneys and witnesses for both sides of a fictional case role play that case being tried in court. The students are guided in their case through support of their teacher and attorney coaches. The program teaches the legal process and trial procedure. National Junior Beta Club is a student honor society and service organization. Membership is based on high academic achievement, excellent character, good citizenship, and service to others. Students are required to maintain at least a 90 average in all academic subjects and participate in service projects. The mission of the Beta Club is to promote the ideals of character, service, and leadership; to reward meritorious achievement; and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education. Quest is an academic competition, sponsored by Trident Technical College, to provide a challenge for students and to recognize top students, teachers, and schools.
