• Students are expected to, without assistance:

    • complete all assignments on time
    • be able to read materials written at the ninth grade level
    • write short answer responses without grammatical errors
    • complete math problems that require addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, understanding ratios, reducing fractions, using percentages, and algebraic equations that include polynomials, factoring, and solving for unknown variables
    • be able to take and record SI (metric) measurements
    • create and interpret recorded data using a variety of visual representations (line graphs, pie charts, Venn diagrams, concept maps)
    • complete nightly homework assignments that may require independent reading
    • memorize approximately twenty vocabulary terms on a weekly basis
    • follow written and verbal instructions (i.e. lab procedures)

       A cumulative final exam will follow the completion of this course.
