We are glad you are here.  Westview Middle prides itself on providing the best possible learning opportunities for our students in the areas of academics and in the fine arts.  We are proud of our experienced teams of teachers in each grade level who contribute to the positive learning experience for students.  Westview Middle maintains a solid reputation as a neighborhood school that prepares students to be highly successful in high school.

     The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards Program Overview

    The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards Program was established by the Education Accountability Act of 1998. As an important part of the education accountability system in South Carolina, the awards program recognizes and rewards schools that attain high levels of absolute performance and schools that attain high rates of improvement.

    The WVM school PTO is doing a poinsettia fundraiser starts November 1st through November 17th.  The class that sells the most over 75 will receive a pizza party.  The students who sells the most over 50 will be rewarded with a $50.00 gift card to Wal-Mart.  The money raised from this fund raiser will go toward benches in the recess area for the students and a color poster maker for the school

    Red, Marble Pink 6 inch poinsettias are $12.00

    Red, Marble Pink 8 inch poinsettias are $20.00

    Red, Marble Pink 10 inch hanging basket poinsettias are $24.00

    Family and Community Engagement Meeting

    The Division of Academic Services (DAS) will be hosting a Family & Community Engagement meeting on November 16, 6:00-7:30 pm at Sedgefield Intermediate School. This meeting will be a collaborative information meeting to provide BCSD families with information about programs and services provided by the DAS.

  • STEP

    2017-2018 STEP Audition Referral Application

    The Special Talent Enrichment Program (STEP) serves Berkeley County School District students in grades four through twelve who have been identified through auditions as gifted in visual art, music, drama and dance. The program currently consists of a two-week summer session and after-school programs at various sites in the county. Middle school STEP students are also eligible to enroll at Marrington Middle School of the Arts.

    Audition requests, information and applications will be available in school offices, from the schools’ arts teachers and on the fine arts page of the district’s website: CLICK HERE

    The audition request form must be completed by November 17, 2017 at 4:00 pm. No late applications will be accepted.
