The Fine Arts Department at Howe Hall AIMS provides strong music, visual art, dance, and theatre programs to our students. All students are exposed to each of these arts areas on a weekly basis through their special area classes as well as through the infusion lessons that are team-taught by our arts and classroom teachers. Third, fourth, and fifth grade students also have a weekly exploratory class that offers them the opportunity to experience the arts in a variety of ways outside of their regular classroom instruction. These students can also audition to be a part of one of five performing groups at HHA: AIMS Singers, AIMS Players, AIMS Dance Company, Art Chameleons, and Chameleon Steel. Auditions for these groups are held in the spring for the following school year and additional commitment including after-school rehearsals and multiple performances throughout the year are required.
All students will participate in one of three musicals that the school produces each year. 3rd and 4th graders present an annual holiday show in December, 5th graders wow audiences with an early spring Broadway Jr. Musical, and kindergarten through 2nd grade wrap up the school year with a late spring musical sure to entertain! Check out the slideshows below to see pictures of our most recent musical performances!!
