  •  Congratulations Ms. Breyona Canty 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year!       

                           

                                TOY 2017-2018

     

     

    Ms. Breyona Canty is a Kindergarten teacher here at Cross Elementary. She lives in North Charleston, South Carolina. Ms. Canty has been teaching for 10 years and is an energetic teacher who strives for her students to have a joyful learning experience. According to Ms. Canty, "all students regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, and capabilities should have the opportunity to learn from educators that care about them and want the absolute best for them." Ms. Canty is a member of New Francis Brown Methodist Church, Charleston, SC.

    Girls Day Out

    Spnsored by SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) via ONR, College of Charleston, Trident Technical College via ACE, NUCOR, BOSCH, Department of Energy, Paul Mitchell and the Naval Health Clinic Charelston, Girls Day Out is designed to inspire, educate and attract girls to pursue STEM careers. The three-day, fun-filled event is scheduled for July 27-29 at the College of Charleston. The camp is designed to educate rising 8th and 9th grade students on STEM related degrees and career opportunities, all while having fun! For more info. please click HERE

     #CodeNation - FREE Computer Science Camp

    The Office of Career and Technical Education is offering a FREE computer science coding camp called Code Nation. The camp will be at St. Stephen Middle School on Monday, June 19, through Thursday, June 22, from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. daily. Code Nation is available for current 5th, 6th and 7th grade students in Berkeley County. For more information and to apply, click HERE.
